In Group D of the African Cup of Nations Zambia won the match against Gabon 2-1 at Estadio do Benguela. With this win Zambia has reached the quarter-finals of the African Nations Cup, while Gabon didn’t qualify for the quarter-finals. Zambians were at bottom of the table with a single point before this match. Earlier, Zambia coach Herve Renard had said that he was confident of a victory over Gabon that would position the side into the quarter finals of the African Nations Cup. Zambia scored two goals in 27:36 minute by Kalaba 27:36 and by Chamanga in 61:22 minute. Gabon only manged to score a single goal with help of Do Marcolino
